Is the voice coach really free?
Yes. The command-line coach is MIT-licensed and free, and it stays that way. You only pay for the overlays. Pro includes the same coach in a window, but nobody needs to buy Pro to get spoken tips.
Do I need an expensive PC?
No. The overlays are light. The AI tips run through Ollama on your own graphics card, and the default model is sized for 8 GB cards. Without Ollama you still get every overlay plus simple built-in tips, with no GPU at all.
Does it work in fullscreen or VR?
Windowed or borderless-windowed only. Overlays are normal windows drawn over the sim, so exclusive fullscreen hides them. VR is not supported.
Is this allowed by iRacing?
It only reads the official telemetry SDK. It does not inject into the sim, change it, or send it any input. LapVoice is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by iRacing.
Which cars and tracks are covered?
Every iRacing track and configuration is bundled: 424 layouts when this was written. Telemetry varies by car: tyre channels are the usual gap, and the Tyres overlay tells you when a car does not report them instead of showing zeros.
Can I move it to a new PC?
Yes. Deactivate on the old PC, then activate on the new one. If the old PC is gone, support can free the seat.
What happens after version 1.x?
You keep the versions you paid for. A later major version may be offered as a paid upgrade, and you are never required to take it.
What is the refund policy?
14 days, from us. A refund deactivates the code and frees the seat. See the refund policy.
Does it upload my driving?
No. Telemetry is read and analysed on your PC. The only network traffic is licence validation: your code and a machine identifier. The AI model runs locally through Ollama.
